The New Sun Belongs to Us

Though you hate the snakes

moving down and out in yellow flower houses

the color of flourishing is not harassed

in the pale hedges.

I have seen the sun's atoms growing in steel vessels.

Springing beauties

under the shining galaxies are not strange to me.

Rays do not live in the timeworn windows of incidents.

Let us give to the trembling fingers of dark nights

the autumn of our lips

and the blossomed narcissus of our bodies.

Let us refresh our blood.
